Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. Some are needed to make the site work. The rest are optional, and this site sets none of them until you say yes.

When you first arrive, everything optional is switched off. Nothing in the analytics or marketing tables below is set unless you choose "Accept all". You can change your answer whenever you like using the cookie settings, and the site works the same either way.

Strictly necessary

These are always on, because without them the site cannot do what you asked.

NamePurposeExpires
thomtax_consent_v1 Remembers your cookie choice, so you are not asked on every page. Stored in your browser, never sent to us. 182 days

Analytics

These tell us which pages people read and which they leave, so we can write better ones. We look at totals and patterns, not individuals.

NameSet byPurposeExpires
_ga Google Analytics Tells returning visits apart from new ones. 2 years
_ga_LGSPVNFKM1 Google Analytics Keeps track of the current visit. 2 years

Marketing

These let advertising platforms measure whether an ad led to an enquiry, and show you our ads elsewhere. They are the ones people most often want off, which is why "Reject all" is one click.

_fbp Meta Identifies your browser so Meta can measure and target ads. 3 months
_fbc Meta Records that you arrived from a Meta ad. Only set if you did. 3 months

Changing your mind

Open the cookie settings and choose again. You can also delete cookies and block them entirely in your browser settings, though blocking all cookies breaks a lot of sites.

Rejecting cookies does not hide anything on this site or make it slower. There is no paywall, no reduced version, and no repeated asking.
